Pawan, this is a great list. Some tools I know, some I’m trying out (like Drupal) and others I have yet to try. I will humbly add proofhub to this list in a Content Collaboration Tools category…another platform that is great to work collaboratively and efficiently. It allow us to receive real-time messages, assign tasks, start discussions, file sharing and more.
It suggests that a focus on browsing experience, making information and comparison simple, and a comprehensive coverage of topics with greater content word counts, while better quality images can improve a site’s standing.
Cohen says to start with an internal content audit and add metadata for SEO. Monitor your current analytics (which type of content attracts most traffic, on what platforms?) and what’s happening on your social media to get an idea of what your target audience is interested in right now. Once you have an idea of what kind of content will do best, gather content from across your organization and integrate content curation into your overall editorial calendar. Don’t forget to measure and track the results of your curated content.
Great list of content marketing tools, I have tried a few of them. ScribbleLive (www.scribblelive.com) is another content marketing software that is really effective. You can plan, create, distribute and measure your content, with it’s all-in-one platform.
Content Amp. Also in April of 2013, U.K.-based content marketing agency Content Amp created an impressive and visually appealing infographic featuring a wide variety of content marketing tools, with an attempt at groupings as well. While this is perhaps the best map of the content marketing vendor set I have seen, it is lacking in the number of vendors and categories covered. For example, it misses content curation tools entirely, and has a confusing category called Curated Content & Forums that includes technologies such as the commenting system Disqus, which has no relevance to curated content. The infographic is not strictly restricted to “tools” and has a category for content marketing agencies.
For example, some consumer have begun using ad blockers to prevent them from seeing ads while browsing websites (though Facebook is designed so that these technologies don’t work on their site). If people aren’t going to see your banner ads about your plumbing business, writing blog posts about common plumbing issues would be a good way to attract your target audience without relying on ads. It may be indirect, but content marketing works.
Most people just consume and share other’s people content but when you start making your own content you can build your own media platform. This allows you to develop a distinctive personal brand around your areas of expertise and become a recognized thought leader in your field.
Affiliate marketing – Affiliate marketing is perceived to not be considered a safe, reliable and easy means of marketing through online platform. This is due to a lack of reliability in terms of affiliates that can produce the demanded number of new customers. As a result of this risk and bad affiliates it leaves the brand prone to exploitation in terms of claiming commission that isn’t honestly acquired. Legal means may offer some protection against this, yet there are limitations in recovering any losses or investment. Despite this, affiliate marketing allows the brand to market towards smaller publishers, and websites with smaller traffic. Brands that choose to use this marketing often should beware of such risks involved and look to associate with affiliates in which rules are laid down between the parties involved to assure and minimize the risk involved.
YouTube is more and more important to marketers lean more heavily on video-based content. While, of course, you should continue to optimize your text-based content for search engine optimization, don’t forget to consider Youtube as an important channel as well. Not only is YouTube great for hosting your videos and getting them shared across social networks, it’s also important to optimize your videos for search to get found on Youtube as well.
Another podcast, but Freakonomics deals specifically with – you guessed it – economics. No, no, I promise it’s not boring. It deals with the hidden economic situations you’ll encounter in everyday scenarios.
Curata is a content marketing software company based in Boston, MA. We use machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence to power two software platforms: Curata Content Curation Software (CCS), and Curata Content Marketing Platform (CMP).
I completely agree that it’s essential that businesses use online marketing. Not doing this is probably a big mistake. There is a good chunk of people who you can only read online. I also loved that one of the first points made were concerning social media. The possibilities concerning social media is probably endless.
