Increase conversion (mostly sales) on your website — This type of ad I love the most. For it to work properly tho you need to set up your Facebook Pixel the right way. This means that you have to put it on every page of your website and report different events based on what the user is doing
Video advertising – This type of advertising in terms of digital/online means are advertisements that play on online videos e.g. YouTube videos. This type of marketing has seen an increase in popularity over time. Online Video Advertising usually consists of three types: Pre-Roll advertisements which play before the video is watched, Mid-Roll advertisements which play during the video, or Post-Roll advertisements which play after the video is watched. Post-roll advertisements were shown to have better brand recognition in relation to the other types, where-as “ad-context congruity/incongruity plays an important role in reinforcing ad memorability”. Due to selective attention from viewers, there is the likelihood that the message may not be received. The main advantage of video advertising is that it disrupts the viewing experience of the video and therefore there is a difficulty in attempting to avoid them. How a consumer interacts with online video advertising can come down to three stages: Pre attention, attention, and behavioural decision. These online advertisements give the brand/business options and choices. These consist of length, position, adjacent video content which all directly affect the effectiveness of the produced advertisement time, therefore manipulating these variables will yield different results. Length of the advertisement has shown to affect memorability where-as longer duration resulted in increased brand recognition. This type of advertising, due to its nature of interruption of the viewer, it is likely that the consumer may feel as if their experience is being interrupted or invaded, creating negative perception of brand. These advertisements are also available to be shared by the viewers, adding to the attractiveness of this platform. Sharing these videos can be equated to the online version of word by mouth marketing, extending number of people reached. Sharing videos creates six different outcomes: these being “pleasure, affection, inclusion, escape, relaxation, and control”. As well, videos that have entertainment value are more likely to be shared, yet pleasure is the strongest motivator to pass videos on. Creating a ‘viral’ trend from mass amount of a brands advertisement can maximize the outcome of an online video advert whether it be positive or a negative outcome.
One way to position your product as being better than the competition is to make it unique and fill the void that your market wants with a Unique Selling Proposition. For example, back when Federal Express started they knew the market desired faster package shipping then the typical “4 to 6 weeks” delivery time. Federal Express (FedEx) filled this void and in turn dominated the package shipping market with the following USP: “Federal Express: When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.” The deployment of this USP allowed Federal Express to emerge as the dominant leader in the industry, taking market share rapidly, and also increased its sales and profits. How can you position your product to be more advantageous than your competition’s product?

2. Use content to get repeat visitors to your site, not flashiness. Rich media, such as flashy graphics and audio, may impress your visitors the first time they see your site, but they are unlikely to come back for it (or recommend your site to others because of it). If repeat visitors (meaning potential customers) are your goal, you are much more likely to get them to return if your site offers content that they find valuable (and with any luck, indispensable). This helps to establish your company as an expert in your field while building a level of trust with your visitors.
In it, the agency showcases how they executed a successful content campaign for a real estate brand. They talk about how it came together, the “whys” of the project, and the results (presented in measurable stats).
More than 88% of all Internet users look for websites, products and services by using search engines and online directories. Approximately 90% of the clicks on the search engine results pages (SERPs) are on the top 3 ranked websites (not the paid listings). Plus the top sites are considered “more trustworthy” and there are no pay-per-click fees involved which means lots of low-cost high-quality visitors for you. In other words, if your site isn’t listed at or near the top, it may as well not exist!
Are you aware of the fact that YouTube is the second biggest search engine on the planet, and the third most went to the website? While it might appear that a standard commercials ads may be the most effortless route for a business to take part in video highlighting, this is essentially not the situation. Video can be amazingly social, and brilliant video advertisers are obscuring the lines of what’s adequate for branded content. Videos act as one of the most interactive types of online marketing.
You also need to have an email sign-up box on your website or blog. This needs to be easy to read and positioned in an uncluttered area of your site, which everyone will see. I offer a free email version of this blog. The subscriber box is clearly positioned on the top right of the site. This position works extremely well and people use it every hour of every day to subscribe.
Digital marketing’s development since the 1990s and 2000s has changed the way brands and businesses use technology for marketing. As digital platforms are increasingly incorporated into marketing plans and everyday life, and as people use digital devices instead of visiting physical shops, digital marketing campaigns are becoming more prevalent and efficient.
As a digital marketer, you don’t need to be able to build a web page from scratch. It does help, though, to have a basic understanding of the fundamentals that make up the pixels and interactions you see on every screen. This free course will teach you how to think like a designer and a developer, which can give you deeper context around your marketing initiatives.
Take for instance the WalMart Clown. The video makes extraordinary utilization of humor to convey its message, and the “business” side is practically optional to the objective of making you chuckle. Along these lines, video can be an unimaginably intense apparatus to convey the correct message to the correct market and pull in the correct sort of client from the earliest starting point. (Understanding your objective market and an all around characterized brand peculiarity go far in making this work.)
Getting traffic to your website only really helps your business if you’re able to convert some leads. But there are some simple methods you can use to increase your web traffic while also converting leads, as Christopher Uschan outlines in this Acumium blog post.
As with most things in life you should begin with the end in mind. When it comes to internet marketing you should set a goal for what you want to get out of it. Is it more customers? Is it more traffic to your website? Is it more awareness about your product? Is it all of the above?
